JanimeS is a scanlation site that offers some reviews and a forum. There is no team working for this site. Everything for this site is operated by one person. JanimeS has been online since year 1998.

What this site offers (mainly) is translated comics from both Korea and Japan. Those can be found under Projects and downloads. You may also visit the forum to talk with others.

JanimeS is WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) site. JanimeS won't send any sort of files directly to individuals. You enjoy what JanimeS currently has.

Love @ First Sight
I am placing Love @ First sight on hold because I just simply cannot translate it anymore in its current status. The whole season 2 has been dragging. I don't want to understand whatever the hell the author intends to do. I want no more of it and I want to take a break from the-once-passionate manwha.
I will watch the series from a distance from now on and see how it unfolds before making my final decision to whether drop it or continue it.
In other words, you won't see any, if not at all, updates for Season 2 Volume 5 for a long time.

Shining
I am considering dropping Shining from Issue magazine. The way the author ended Marichen Chronicle and the way Shining is going, I am starting to dislike the author.

While I bear no love for this manwha, I intend to continue and finish it simply because it's so easy to translate.

I am debating whether to stop it at volume 10 or continue. Furthermore, the author has gone AWOL (3+ years). I have a feeling that the author has no intention to continue. Personally, it wouldn't matter to me since the plot is circling around.

The author has gone AWOL (6+ months). This author often disappears from time to time. However, not once has the author abandoned her works, so I am fairly confident that she will eventually complete this series.

The author has gone AWOL. It's been 2+ years. The author has a tendency to disappear for years from time to time, but I have a strange feeling that the author is gone for good this round.

While I don't want to stop it, I may have to.

Marichen Chronicle
I've actually completed scanlation of the whole series internally, so it is completed.

"Dropping few series" blog entry has been locked since this is a follow-up entry for final verdict.

In the blog entry, I stated that I planned to drop following projects.

1. Ozanari Dungeon
2. PPOI
3. Kaji Ryuusuke no Gi
4. Ii Hito

I've stated that I'd drop at least three out of four.

My final decision on the matter is as following.
I will drop Ozanari Dungeon and PPOI. Unfortunately, my decision on this is firm and I will not change my mind. However, Ii Hito and Kaji Ryuusuke no Gi will stay and will be continued to be scanlated by me.

According to my recent blog Annoucement : Change of direction of JanimeS, I stated that I will work on other magazines other than Issue.

The phase one began today. I've purchased 4 more comic magazines when I bought Issue magazine. I will go through each of them throughout and make some decisions.

Jump magazine. It's the same Japanese Jump magazine, but this one's Korean version. I looked through it quickly and I can't make use of any of materials being carried in this magazine because all series are currently being scanlated by other teams.
This magazine carries all currently popular manga. It does carry one or two manwha, but manwha is not the sale point of this magazine.

Chance magazine aims at young boys. It carries manga and manwha in equal amount. All series are either fighting genre or similar. (You know the type.)

Party magazine aims at general population. Its style is quite similar to Issue.

Main audience for this magazine is young female. Wink magazine has a long history. Its style is also similar to Issue magazine.

I believe Jump magazine is out already. For the other three, I will need some more time.

Issue magazine 2010 August edition.

I didn't find any good one-shots, so unlikely one-shots will be worked on from this edition.

1. Savage Garden
Arron attempts to murder Jeremy only to find out that Jeremy cared about Marianne as much as he did.

2. Shining.
Even for a native Korean myself, character names are really hard to get used to. With new characters being added with every chapters so far, the plot is a little hazed, but I can clearly see where the plot is heading toward to.
I must tell you that I have no love for this series due to the author's decision to kill Marichen Chronicle prematurely. However, I will continue to scanlate until I reach a conclusion that it will not be worth my time.
At this point, I am positive that Issue magazine contacted the author for a new series for the magazine.

3. Perfect Couple.
Nothing much to say really. Its plot is really typical. If you have some experience in teenage romance manga, you can easily predict its course of plot. In that sense, this manwha is not worth my time. However, my expectations for this series was low to begin with and it has not swayed from my expectations, so I will continue.

Love @ first sight in this edition wasn't worth my time.
