Fate / Hollow Ataraixa is a sequel to the famed Fate stay/night.
While being a sequel, Fate / Hollow Ataraxia is not as serious as its previous installation. In fact, the whole concept of the game is about side stories although it does offer a main plot. Fate / Hollow Ataraxia has to be replayed numerous times in order for you to view all of its side stories. I'd rather let you find out its main plot by yourself.
In this review, I will show you some of the side stories that this game has to offer. Generally, most of side stories are comical and ironical. Furthermore, these side stories cover variety of characters.
Working Lancer (Flower shop version)
This is one of my favorite side stories.
In this side story, you encounter Ayako in a park where she asks Emiya to go with her to see a friend in a hospital. Emiya goes to a flower ship with her and there they find Lancer working part time.
Emiya finds it amusing that Lancer looks actually good in an apron and it turns out that he even has a good sense when it comes to raising flowers and picking which flowers are good for which situation.
What is more funny is that, when Lancer hits on Ayako (as usual, mind you), Ayako actually seems to favor Lancer especially after he demonstrates his spear-play. Ayako and Lancer seem to get along well. In this side story, you even see Ayako blush which you don't see anywhere else.
This romantic mood is ruined by appearance of Rider, who mysteriously likes Ayako in a rather sexual way. Ayako knows this and avoids Rider at all cost, yelling, "I just want to have normal love!"

Angel & Diamond
This is a small side story about Saber, Emiya's servant.
Emiya finds Saber playing soccer with kids. Of course, Saber doesn't know anything about soccer and misunderstands concept of Soccer as football, which is soon corrected by kids.
When Saber's powerful kick is demonstrated, the kids' soccer ball is brutally destroyed. Emiya creates another one just like theirs by using his magic. Saber wasn't aware of Emiya's presence until this moment.

After story
A very, very entertaining story, this is.
is the word to describe this one.Emiya comes home and finds Bazett Fraga McRemitz in the living room. Everyone in the house is in panic. FYI, Bazett is one of characters that play boss in Hollow Ataraxia and mortal enemy to pretty much everyone in Emiya's house.
They (Rin, Sakura, Saber....) direly want to know why she is there. Especially, Rin warns Emiya to fear the worst. Under pressured air, Bazett finally speaks....
"I don't have a job! I am unemployed!" Bazett says....
And she asks Emiya for advice. Apparently, Bazett has been trying to find a job since she was banned from the mage guild. She has been having no luck. Emiya gives her few choices and somehow ended up with an idea of being a bodyguard (Emiya's and Saber strongly stands against this as she is the guard of Emiya.).
She also asks if she could stay until she finds a job. Everyone panics again.
Caren Ortensia visits Emiya's house at this moment, making the whole situation even worse. She demands and actually decides (without Emiya's concent)to stay in Emiya's house while her church is being renovated.
Seeing Emiya is unable to decide, a simple duel (Rock, Scissor, Paper) is suggest between Bazett and Emiya. If Emiya wins, Bazett would withdraw for the day and come back later for Emiya's answer. If Emiya loses, well you can guess.
Emiya was actually confident that he'd win. What he did not realize was Bazett's way of thinking. Normally, you'd say "Rock...,scissor..., paper!" But Bazett shouts, "Rock, Scissor.... Die!"
Emiya is brutally thrown back....
"I win," Bazett says...
All decided....

There are about 60 side stories and about 12 stories stories for the main plot. Obviously, I cannot post them all here.
Though I might post few more stories by a batch of three from time to time.
