It doesn't say. The Victorian Era technically began in the 18th century, merely because Queen Victoria is the last of that line. She transitioned the 18th Century to the early modern age.

I think the author chose something and added other, little things. If you notice, there are some peculiarities that don't match up with either era.

i just start reading savage garden. i must say that im really curious to know what will happen to gabriel/jeremy. one by one people died because of belladona.

the art is beautiful too. the manhwa have awesome plot.

but, ill be sad if this manhwa ends soon. :(

Thank you so much for scanlating Savage Garden! I am obsessed with Lee Hyeon Sook's manwhas, really. The artwork, the dark characters, the dramatic plot twists. It's really addictive.
Even the tragic endings usually carry a bittersweet tinge.

Savage Garden is one of my favorite mangas/manhwa...Actually it is the first manhwa that I ever read with such a dark plot and twist...One of its attributes that I really like was its art work...the characters were all so beautifully designed... After reading this I looked for the other works of lee hyeon sook and found flowers of evil and beautiful fascination is better than love...well I admit the artworks were both beautiful but I got bored of the story so I stop reading it[sorry to all FOE and BFIBTL fans don't mean to offend you] Lee Hyeon Sook is such a great author and artist...I wonder how will this one turn out...
