Sigh... I agree Norton made some bad stuff the past 13 years I heard of them. But their utilities suite is rather good. Eset's NOD32 was recommended to me a few years back and I had liked it. Don't mind your sister. She's entitled to her opinions.

Wow, NOD32 has lots of recs. I better skip out of the free McAfee suite I am offered. But I really don't need any antimalware, antispyware, etc. I don't frequent a lot of places on the web, anyway.

"I want to apologize on behalf of McAfee and say that we're extremely sorry for any impact the faulty signature update file may have caused you and your organizations," said Barry McPherson, executive vice president of support and customer service, in a post to the company's blog near midnight yesterday.
It was the first apology by a McAfee executive for the fiasco, which started early Wednesday when an antivirus signature update wrongly quarantined a critical Windows system file after identifying it as a low-threat virus.

Aw, that's cute. Glad I don't use McAffee anymore.

Malwarebyes is not a anti virus software, it's a malware remover. A very good one. If anything fails I would suggest it also. As chitori said very good program if your anti virus misses anything currently.

It seems that a lot of official stuff still prefer IE. I also remember reading Sura's thread about the importance of IE in Korea.

Huh. While I enjoy some of the Google cloud, I don't think that it would...I don't want to stick a horse foot in my mouth. I'll wait and see.

(I still think that Google shouldn't be saying that security isn't an issue.)
